Why your gel polish keeps chipping

The most common reason for chipping is a mismatch between the Flexibility of the Nail and the Rigidity of the Product. If your natural nail is thin, it bends dynamically every time you type or pick something up. A standard, thin gel polish cannot handle that degree of movement and will eventually snap its bond with the nail plate, causing a chip.

To stop the chipping, we must fundamentally change the physics of your nail. We do this by applying a higher-viscosity Builder Gel that physically prevents the natural nail from bending to its break-point. When the nail is stationary, the polish stays attached.

Unlike traditional acrylics, which can be harsh and require aggressive filing, BIAB is entirely soakable. This means we can strengthen your nails without ever actually touching your natural nail plate with a coarse file. This "non-invasive" strengthening is the only way to heal a nail that has been thinned by years of poor salon habits.

The repair journey

Repairing a "weak" nail is a biological biological timeline. It takes approximately 4 to 6 months for a fingernail to grow from the matrix (under the skin) to the free edge.
