Building the Perfect Skincare Routine: A South African Guide
Not sure where to start with skincare? This guide helps you build an effective routine using professional advice from our Dermalogica-trained therapists.
The Basic Routine: 3 Steps
Every skincare routine needs these fundamentals:
1. Cleanse
Remove makeup, dirt, and excess oil. Double cleanse at night (oil cleanser + water-based cleanser).
2. Moisturize
Hydrate and protect your skin barrier. Even oily skin needs moisturizer!
3. SPF (Morning Only)
Non-negotiable. SPF 30-50 every single day, even when cloudy.

3. Using too many actives at once
4. Not giving products time to work (8-12 weeks)
