Will IPL work on fine blond 'peach fuzz' on the upper lip?
IPL relies on melanin (pigment) in the hair shaft to convert light into heat. It works exceptionally well on dark, brown, or coarse upper lip hair. Very pale blond, grey, white, or red vellus hair ('peach fuzz') contains little to no pigment and may not absorb IPL light effectively.
How many IPL sessions will I need for full upper lip hair reduction?
Because facial hair growth is influenced by hormones and grows in cycles, a series of 6 to 8 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart is recommended to achieve optimal permanent hair reduction.
Can I wax or thread my upper lip between IPL appointments?
