Microblading vs Brow Lamination
If you have thin, sparse, or overplucked eyebrows, you have two major options to restore them: permanently tattooing hair strokes into the skin (Microblading) or chemically fluffing your existing hair (Lamination).
The 'supermodel brow' is the current standard of beauty, but many clients physically lack the density to achieve it with pencil alone. The confusion comes when deciding how aggressive to be in faking that density.
If you have literally zero hair (severe alopecia) or massive bald spots, Microblading is required to tattoo the illusion of hair onto the skin. If you have hair, but it just points downward or looks thin, Lamination is a painless, temporary way to make those hairs look twice as thick.

How Galeo Guides This Journey
Every concern needs a thoughtful treatment path. We use consultation, skin or treatment assessment, and realistic planning to guide clients toward the most suitable next step.
Microblading (The Semi-Permanent Illusion)
Microblading is an invasive dermal implantation process. We use a manual hand-tool fitted with a row of microscopic needles to slice fine, linear channels into the upper dermis. Pigment is then deposited into these channels to mimic the appearance of individual eyebrow hairs.
Because Microblading is technically a tattoo, it involves a "Wound Healing" phase. Over the first 14 days, the skin will scab and flake as it encapsulates the pigment. It is the ultimate solution for clients with Alopecia or heavy scarring, as it creates the illusion of hair where none exists biologically. However, it requires a permanent commitment and a touch-up every 12 to 18 months to prevent the pigment from blurring.
Brow Lamination (The Painless Fluff)
Brow Lamination is a chemical re-texturizing treatment—essentially a "perm" for your eyebrows. We use a high-alkaline lifting cream to break the disulfide bonds in the hair shaft, allowing us to physically redirect the hair into a more vertical, upward position. We then neutralize the hair to "lock" it in this new, voluminous shape.
This treatment maximizes the vertical surface area of your existing hair. If your brow hairs naturally point downward or lay flat, lamination will make your brows appear 50% thicker instantly without a single needle. It is the gold standard for the Brushed-Up 'Soap Brow' Look.
The Commitment Factor
Before choosing Microblading, consider the biological evolution of your face. As we age, our brow bone naturally descends. A tattooed brow that looks perfect today may look saggy or out of place in ten years. Lamination, however, is a non-permanent intervention that lasts 6 to 8 weeks before your hair returns to its natural state. This allows you to follow current beauty trends without the risk of a "permanent mistake" on your face.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get lamination if I already have microblading?
Yes! In fact, laminating your natural hairs OVER an old, faded microblading job is an incredible way to bring texture and 3D life back to the flat tattoo.
Does Lamination hurt?
No, the process is completely painless and feels just like getting a thick cream painted onto your eyebrows.
Will Lamination make my brow hairs fall out?
When correctly timed by a professional, no. We use deep conditioning serums to ensure the hair remains hydrated post-lamination. Do not attempt this with cheap DIY kits at home, as they can burn the hair off.
